Description
ABOUT THE WINERY:
Tenuta di Biserno is an important reality of the Tuscan coast, created in 2001 on the initiative of important protagonists of the wine world of our peninsula. The international success of the famous Supertuscans has had the great merit of highlighting the value of a territory that until the 1960s was little considered for viticulture, because it was not very suitable for the cultivation of Sangiovese. The area occupies a strip of land along the coast, which rises gently towards the first hills of the chain of hills. The vineyards are located near the sea, protected from the cold air currents that descend from the north-east. The climate is sunny and very bright , typically Mediterranean in style, always mitigated by the presence of sea breezes. The terrains are quite heterogeneous and varied. In the coastal area the presence of sands prevails, while moving inland, we find soils of medium texture, calcareous-clayey, with the presence of pebbles and ancient alluvial deposits, very suitable for the cultivation of red berried grapes.
