Description
ABOUT THE WINERY:
A story that began in 1973, when Sandro Fay decided to develop the Sandro Fay farm starting from the historically small wine production of his family. In those years the new headquarters of the cellar were built, located in San Giacomo di Teglio, and began to expand the vineyard area by merging several parcels and reaching the current 14 hectares of vineyards, which are partly owned and others rented. The heart of the production is found in the sub-area of Valgella located in the municipality of Teglio, whose name derives from “Valgel” which is the dialectal form to indicate the small streams that characterize the area, with the vineyards located at an altitude between 350 and 900 meters above sea level and where, due to family tradition, almost all of the production of the Fay farm is concentrated. Since then a story of continuous growth, in search of quality, in which the children Marco and Elena have also been involved since the end of the 90s.
