Description
ABOUT THE WINERY:
Villa Matilde is a Campania winery located in Cellole, in the province of Caserta.Villa Matilde becomes the bearer of territorial values in which history has great importance, and is very careful to enhance the new strengths of the company’s work, i.e. respect for the environment and attention to new technologies. The vineyards owned by Villa Matilde extend over approximately 120 hectares of land, divided between the Cellole area and the Altavilla and Rocca dei Leoni estates, respectively in the province of Avellino and within the Benevento Sannio. Different areas, which are therefore characterized by having different compositions of the subsoil. Among the rows, much importance is given to the autochthonous white and red grapes, such as Aglianico, Piedirosso, Falanghina, Greco and Fiano. Both in the vineyard and in the cellar, the production philosophy could be summarized with these concepts, synthetic but very explanatory: quality, eco-sustainability, local culture and technological development. The wines of Villa Matilde tell the love of a family for the oldest vines of Campania, Aglianico, Piedirosso and Falanghina in the first place, revisited within labels that start from respect for tradition to develop creative concepts that bring the land- man in the future. A range that tells real, non-serial wines, appreciated by all true enthusiasts and connoisseurs. The Falerno del Massico, declined in both the white and red versions, represents the starting point from which to start to taste the product from which the history of Villa Matilde originated.
