ABOUT THE WINERY:
Petra Belvento is located in Suvereto and is above all a farm, where it is cultivated and reared respecting biodiversity.The owner Francesca was still a freshman when the first vineyards were planted in the company; despite this, it was she who decided, on the basis of what was already a very clear vision, what to grow on the land of the estate, favoring international varieties in addition to Sangiovese and Vermentino. From the outset, a strong protective instinct moves all those who actively move around the company, from Francesca to the men who work in the vineyard and in the olive groves. The ultimate goal of all is to protect the balance of a natural system that requires respect and delicacy, so as to be fully exploited. Therefore, the work, from the vine to the cellar is always meticulous and minimally invasive, an organic regime is followed and the impact on the environment is minimized; in particular, the transformation of the grapes into wine takes place without manipulation or forcing, exploiting gravity, natural light and the energy supplied by a floating photovoltaic system.
