ABOUT THE WINERY:
Fabien Duperray is the owner of this Domaine and has bought a few small lots of very old vines in Fleurie and Moulin-a-Vent in some very special terroirs: the youngest are 65 years old and the oldest 100 years old. About 9 hectares and not even a tractor for working in the vineyards. The land is worked by hand and with the help of horses. Yields are very low. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks and then in 400-litre barriques and aged for a period of 36 months before bottling. Fabien uses only the best corks available for his wines and then the bottles are hand dipped in wax to ensure no oxidation occurs.
